Principal Dancer at the Paris Opera
I have a clear memory of Eric at a dance school exam, where he had outperformed the rest of the class with his early talent, as well as having “inhabited” the stage with his brilliant performance in the variation of the “Tambour” from the Bal des Cadets, where for me, he was without equal.
Later in the corps de ballet, I chose him to dance the Pas de Deux from Don Quixote with me and where once again he demonstrated his magnificent qualities. This only reinforced what I thought of him and consequently we came together for many galas and ballets on stages both in France and abroad.
